He received his B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Stanford University and went on to work at a social impact finance startup in San Francisco for a couple years. He later joined Box to work on software and data platforms in various capacities, while continuing to tutor high school students in subjects such as Chemistry and Computer Science, and interview for Stanford admissions. Outside of work, Sam likes to study new languages (project of the month: Mandarin!), often by reading menus at restaurants. He also enjoys sitting at the piano and playing either jazz or improv to wind down the day.
