Meet the founders

Eritus is a founder-led education company built around personal mentorship, strategic planning, and thoughtful support for students and families. The name "Eritus" comes from the Latin phrase meaning "you shall." To us, it captures the feeling we hope to inspire in students → possibility.

A calm, welcoming space in North Central San Diego

We meet with students and families in our Sorrento Valley office, where sessions can feel a little more focused and grounded than a Zoom call or café conversation. Whether we’re mapping out a college list, working through tough homework problems, or discussing test prep, our goal is to create a positive, comfortable environment where students can think deeply and feel fully supported.

(Our views overlooking the beautiful El Camino Memorial Park certainly don’t hurt. And on rare occasion, you may even meet our unofficial Eritus mascot!)

How we work with families

Every student arrives with a different mix of strengths, goals, questions, pressures, and possibilities. Our job is to help families make sense of the academic & college planning process in the way that best empowers the person at the center.

We combine thoughtful strategy with steady, personal support — helping students feel more confident about their unique academic journey.

We begin by listening.

Before recommending a plan, we do a deep dive into the student’s background, experiences, interests, personality, priorities, and aspirations. No stone is left unturned. Our goal is to learn and understand the full picture, not force the student into a generic checklist.

We build around the student.

Depending on the student’s current profile and needs, our work may include course planning, extracurricular development, testing strategy, tutoring, essay coaching, or broader academic support. This is also where we provide honest feedback — if expectations are misaligned with strengths or capabilities, we address these hard truths upfront.

We create structure without adding pressure.

Families deserve clarity, but students also need room to take ownership. We define timelines, priorities, and action items so parents feel informed without having to manage every detail.

We protect the student’s voice.

Whether we're working on essays, activities, interviews, or applications, our goal is not to manufacture a "perfect" persona. We help students communicate their values and experiences with more clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
